I know I have. Great books, even. For Christmas, my cousin bought me FOUR new Gossip Girl books. Those are my life after Buffy. But I got one almost a month ago as an early gift and I finished it in a few days. Then I was depressed because I didn't have anymore to read, so my sister gave me an early gift. It was The Notebook book. I haven't finished it yet, but so far it's BETTER than the movie. I didn't get the rest of my gift from my cousin until New Years because she kept leaving them at her parent's house. But I finally got it. It was a set of three Gossip Girl books and I've already finished all of them. I have one more to read of the whole collection (until the newest one comes out) and then I'm planning on reading The It Girl, which is a whole seperate storyline of one of the Gossip Girl characters. THEN my dad bought this book called What Would Buffy Do and I've never even heard of it. I started reading a little bit before I got hooked on Gossip Girl and it's like about how religion and spirituality fits into the show. It's really interesting for the nerdy type, which is me. And before all of this, right after I first watched The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, I read the three Sisterhood books. Those are the only books that have ever made me cry. They were amazing. So yeah. I've read a lot of books lately.
What about you??

First of all Sisterhood.... is a book series? I never knew that, I just thought it was a movie. ;D
The last book I finished was The Vampire Lestat, by Anne Rice. I loved it of course, I'm a huge Anne Rice fan, and Lestat is definitely one of my favorite characters. Currently, I'm reading Takedown: The Fall of The Last Mafia Empire, by Rick Cowan & Douglas Century. It's one of those lovely "true crime" stories. It's really interesting and good so far. I'm also reading Black House, by Stephen King & Peter Straub. So far so good.

Yeah, it started out as a book. There's three of them and they are all equally good.
I've never heard of any of those books. But then again, I like girly teen books. Haha.

Lol, you should check out the SVU books if they're still around. I read all the differnet Sweet Valley books growing from Sweet Valley High into some of the Sweet Valley University. Those were so popular when I was growing up. Damn, I sound old.

;D
I just bought Hawkes Harbor by S.E. Hinton. I'm only got as far as chapter 2 as of now, and so far, it's good. Here's the synopsis: An orphan and a bastard, Jamie Sommers grew up knowing he had no hope of heaven. Conceived in adultery and born in sin, Jamie was destined to repeate the sins of his parents - or so the nuns told him. And he proved them right. Taking to the sea, Jamie sought out danger and adventure in exotic ports all over the world as a smuggler, gunrunner - and murderer.Tough enough to handle anything, he's survived foreign prisons, priates and a shark attack. But in a quiet seaside town in Delaware, Jamie discovered something that was enough to drive him insane - and change his life forever. For it was in Hawles Harbor that Jamie came face to face with the ultimate evil....

Read a very good book (if you like paranormal romance/vampire books) called The Wages of Sin by Jenna Maclaine. I'd definitely recommend it! Right now I'm reading The Remarkable Miss Frankenstein which looks really cute but I'm one chapter into it. I have Red Lily by Nora Roberts standing by. Last week a friend suggested The Eyre Affair by Jasper Fforde which looks really neat.

I'm writing it down and will someday get it hopefully. lol. Sounds like something that would be up my alley. I'm currently reading "Through Violet Eyes" very, very good mystery story. Ooh. It's really hard to put down.

It was kinda like taking a bit of... oh I don't know, maybe early LKH and mixing in a bit of Kenyon and a bit of a historical romance and putting it in a blender. You can find some excerpts on her site: www.jennamaclaine.comI'll let you know how the other ones go. Through Violet Eyes looks good... I added it to my wish list. (I have to use the wish list on amazon or I'll forget what I wanted to buy when I go to reorder when my "stash" runs out! LOL!) M.

Oof, Amazon wishlists. I always add stuff to mine like that too, it's not a wishlist for me, more of a shopping list. lol. Yeah, I never remember what I've seen that Iwant so I put it on my wishlist and then when I need more books or have extra $$ I pick some off the list. I read a short story last week by author Kresley Colein an anthology called Playing Easy to Get. The other two stories were laregly missable but hers was great. She's got a new book coming in the series coming out in April but I don't remember the name of it. You can find it on her website. Anyhoo... vampire-slaying valkyries.... lots more funny than they sound. Worth checking out!

I decided I'm going to read the Da Vinci Code as soon as I'm done with my current book. Turns out my sister has it and I didn't even know. Haha. I don't think I've ever heard of those other books, though.
