There's a huge problem with my cable, so when I record it it gets erased like 10 mins later. I've missed two eps from that and I don't have time to read transcripts. Only 4 more eps left, though. So it'll be over....wednesday.

as purist kinda film person and even tv person, the cuts are bad enough, but why do they not show the reruns in the original widescreen format for Angel? sometimes u can really tell that it should be in widescreen cuz someone may be standing close to side of the screen and u barely see them, i hate that, stupid TNT. the WB filmed it and showed it in widescreen since season 2 and thats way its supposed to be seen, course u can probably tell i'm one of those ppl that must have his movies widescreen, like when i got Van Helsing they had both versions full or wide, i was like totally going with the wide, or i'll be all mad lol.

Oh god, I know, it's like, well Full Screen, you think you're getting everything, but they actually cut it on the sides to compensate for the middle. Either that, or they cut directly in the middle, so it pans back and forth. Watching Pulp Fiction in Full Screen is so damn annoying because of that!!! I have gotten a few people addicted widescreen tho, after explaining whythe black boxes are so damn big sometimes. The only thing I don't really complain about is like, some shows and films were meant not to be wide, so that i don't mind as much, but if they weren't don't mess with it!

yeah i got some ppl liking wide more now, a few ppl anyways. and most tv shows aren't wide, but then some are like Angel, Angel was filmed in wide from s 2 on down so it should be that way on TNT reruns too. now an odd thing is that Smallville was not wide, yet is wide on the dvd's but on The WB it was always fullscren, though oddly enough season 4 which is the new season is wide. same goes for Roswell, the show was full on tv but on dvd its wide, but maybe it was meant to be wide. i know Firefly was full on Fox but Joss Whedon said that the show was made for wide so thats why on the dvd's its shown that way, as it was intended, but Fox just doesn't like showing wide so.
and yeah i know what u mean with scenes were they cut side to side, like if 2 ppl are talking but they're on opposite sides of the screens, they do that, there was a scene in Wolf like that actually, and it was odd how they did it on the tv version, as opposed to how it on wide.

oh and i'm fine with old movies that were never wide anyways, like my old horror movies, or old Disney movies, cuz widescreen didn't start till the mid '50's actually.
but at least they try to please everyone by releasing wide versions plus full versions, but i always have to make sure its wide when i buy it. but then some movies are the one that have the choice, it has wide and full on the same disc so u can click the one u want, i like that cuz if someone buys me something for a gift they won't have to worry if its the right format.

I remember when I got Season 4 of Buffy, there was a letter from Joss included that people were bitching about Buffy going wide for DVD, but he stated that with the exception of OMWF, the show was meant to be full. BA p.s.: check out the siggy blend Skit made for me!!!
